An effective newsletter is one that not only has a good design and good content, but one that is also well organized. Good organization always enhances any template newsletter. Notes by the Editor

As in newspapers, your template newsletter should also contain a ‘Notes by the Editor’ section. Your subscribers will love to read your own views. By reading your opinion regularly, they will be able to relate to you and will also look forward to hearing from you. This is a section through which you can establish yourself in the eyes of your subscribers. Sharing your opinion with the public will also help you develop a strong rapport with your clients.

Quote for the day/week/month

There are plenty of users who search the word ‘quotes’ on the Internet many times a day. This clearly indicates that people, lots of them, enjoy reading quotes. Quotes inspire people to be happy, pursue their goals and live life to the fullest. If you add quotes to your newsletter, they will improve its value to a considerable extent. You can find quotes on the Internet or even refer to books.

Unsubscribe information and link

This is a mandatory addition to your template newsletter. According to the law, your clients have every right to unsubscribe from your mailing list, as and when they want to. Besides, there is no point in sending newsletters to those people who are not interested. Including information and a link to unsubscribe will make your campaign look genuine. Also, if you do not provide an unsubscribe link, your clients might lodge a spam complaint against you. Too many spam complaints may result in Internet Service Providers (ISPs) taking stern action against you.

Article by an expert

Publishing an article written by an expert or providing a link to one, adds to the credibility of your template newsletter. It may be difficult to invite an expert to write a fresh piece for your newsletter. In such a scenario, you can find plenty of articles on the Internet that are completely free of charge. The only thing you should do is cite the name of the source you have taken the article from. In doing so, you will avoid getting into any possible legal tangles.
